Desde el Puente de San Pablo podemos ver las impresionantes vistas a la hoz del Huécar, y sus emblemáticas Casas Colgadas, la trasera de la Catedral, la cornisa del barrio de San Pedro; y al otro lado, el antiguo convento de San Pablo, actual Parador de Turismo.
El puente fue edificado en piedra en el siglo XVI, pero fue sufriendo un proceso de ruina que concluyó con su derribo total a finales del XIX. Es entonces cuando se construye la pasarela que hoy vemos, el más significativo ejemplo de la arquitectura del hierro en esta ciudad.
Desde sus 60 metros de altura, también contemplaremos Cuenca desde el límite de la ciudad, y comprenderemos mejor la peculiar fisonomía de las Casas Colgadas. En origen este tipo de edificaciones cubrieron la totalidad de la fachada de la hoz, pero hoy únicamente se conservan tres de ellas. Son de origen medieval, y han sufrido numerosas transformaciones, ya que partir del siglo XVIII el edificio pasó por momentos de reconstrucción y abandono. En 1905 fue comprada por el Ayuntamiento por valor de 1.500 de las antiguas pesetas, hasta que en 1927 se restaura para recuperar su aspecto original, y se añaden los balcones voladizos tan célebres hoy en día.
La gastronomía es muy sabrosa: CARNES: Conejo al ajillo, Cuchifrito, Morteruelo, Zarajos, Perdiz en escabeche, Cordero asado. PESCADOS: Atascaburras , Truchas, Cangrejos de río, Ajo arriero. GUISOS: Gachas, Migas, Pisto manchego, Sopas de ajo, Pipirrana, Gazpachos. POSTRES: Alajú, Leche frita, Torrijas...

From the St. Paul Bridge can see stunning views of the mouth of Huécar, and its iconic hanging houses, the back of the Cathedral, the cornice of the San Pedro neighborhood, and on the other side, the old convent of San Pablo, current Parador de Turismo.
The stone bridge was built in the sixteenth century, but was undergoing a process of ruin that resulted in its demolition in the late nineteenth overall. That's when the gateway is built we see today, the most significant example of the iron architecture in this city.
From its 60 meters high, also contemplate Basin from the city limits, and understand better the peculiar physiognomy of the Hanging Houses. Originally this type of buildings covered the entire facade of the sickle, but today only three of them are preserved. They are of medieval origin and have undergone numerous transformations, as from the eighteenth century the building went through some reconstruction and abandonment. In 1905 it was purchased by the City in the amount of 1,500 pesetas, until in 1927 is restored to recover its original appearance, and cantilevered balconies are added as famous today.
The food is very tasty: MEAT: Rabbit with garlic, Cuchifrito, Morteruelo, Zarajos, pickled partridge, roast lamb. FISH: Atascaburras, Trout, Crayfish, Garlic driver. STEWS: Porridge, Migas, Pisto manchego, garlic soups, Pipirrana, Gazpachos. DESSERTS: Alajú, Milk fried, Torrijas...
