A l'abri de La Recouvrance dans le port de Brest, Randy le dauphin cherche le contact des humains, en particulier pour qu'ils lui frottent le dos par les cordages des bateaux à quai.
Randy passe le plus souvent ses hivers au large des îles britanniques, mais il fait souvent sa tournée des plages au début de l’été. Il s’agit d’un mâle âgé d’environ 39 ans (en 2024) et pesant plus de 300 kilos, repéré pour la première fois en 2001 près des Sables d’Olonnes (Vendée). (Ouest-France, 24/07/2020)

At the shelter of La Recouvrance in the port of Brest, Randy the dolphin seeks the contact of the humans, in particular so that they rub his back by the ropes of the boats to dock.
Randy spends most of his winters off the British Isles, but he often does his French beach tour in early summer. He is a male about 39 years old (in 2024) and weighing more than 300 kg, spotted for the first time in 2001 near Les Sables d'Olonnes (Vendée).
