Sunset on Lookout Mountain - a photo on Flickriver

            The view of Chattanooga, TN from Point Park on Lookout Mountain at dusk.  

The glow from the sunset to the west can be seen on the glossy black surface of the iron cannon wheels.

Point Park is part of the Chickamauga & Chattanooga National Military Park, administered by the National Park Service.  From this point, Confederate Troops under the command of  General Braxton Bragg beseiged the Union held city of Chattanooga and the Army of the Cumberland led by Maj Gen William Rosecrans until an assault by Maj Gen Joseph Hooker claimed the point for the Union Army.
