Cliff pine tree - Klippenkiefer - a photo on Flickriver

            One thing what is always exciting me, when I'm hiking through the elbe sandstone mountains, are the cliff pine trees. You see them everywhere here. It seems that they would grow right out of the rocks. There is almost no soil there and they are still growing, the final collapse always in front of their eye. Itsn't nature something fascinating ?

Eine Sache, die mich immer wieder begeistert wenn ich im Elbsandsteingebirge unterwegs bin, sind die Klippenkiefern. Man sieht sie hier überall. Es wirkt als würden Sie direkt aus dem Felsen wachsen. Dort wo sie stehen gibt es kaum Erde und trotzdem gedeien und wachsen sie hier, immer den finalen Absturz vor Augen. Natur ist schon was faszinierendes, oder ?
