White-Throated Kingfisher - a photo on Flickriver

I had to get out of the car and click this one standing to avoid the sky as the backdrop. These kingfishers seem rather disdainful of us photographers which means many chances to get great shots of them. This bird looked like a well groomed person in cocktail attire.

Over the years I have got some great shots of this bird. For example
this one clicked in Central India, also from inside a car.
