I have posted some pics of the beautiful Franklin falls near the Snoqualmie pass earlier in Flickr. To get to this fall there are many trailheads and it was a good 4 mile mildly strenuous hike from where we parked. As you get close to the waterfall you can hear the roar of the water and suddenly the trail drops off into a canyon and a majestic waterfall is right in front of you dropping off from a135 ft rocky cliff.

There is only one real composition here to photograph the falls as a landscape shot due to the presence of the highway overpass that visible from the canyon floor. So, after taking the pics we were kind of goofing around and I suggested to my wife that we take an insta style shot with her standing at the bottom of the falls. Since I rarely offer to take people shots, she readily agreed to my suggestion and went to the bottom of the falls. Well, its basically snowmelt water from a glacier and it is falling off a cliff at 135 ft so you can imagine her cold surprise as she got close to the falls. But we did get a couple of cool shots that showed the massive size and power of the gorgeous waterfall.
