Light over Superior - a photo on Flickriver

            The sun goes down over the cold rocky waters of Lake Superior.
I struggled a lot with this image. I walked this beach for a while in the afternoon looking for a composition. 
I tried other views and then came upon these nice shiny black rocks that I knew I wanted to be in the foreground but no matter what angle or what lens I tried nothing seemed to work. I gave up and left, just to come back hours later with only a few minutes before sunset.
I finished with this image and I'm glad I came back because the light was really great.
