Thalys 4346 @ Beert - a photo on Flickriver

Toen ik de ochtend van 27 april 2023 langs de hogesnelheidslijn in Rebecq stond, wist ik nog niet dat het niet meer lang zou duren vooraleer ik mijn eerste Thalys in Ruby kleuren zou kunnen vastleggen.

Het was pas toen ik op de Belgische Live Spots app een melding kreeg om 11:25 vanuit Blandain-Frontière - mijn oprechte dank hiervoor - dat ik plannen maakte om de 4346 in Ruby kleurstelling vast te leggen tijdens de middagpauze. Deze was namelijk onderweg van Hellemmes naar Brussel-Zuid T.W HST via Ath en Edingen... en die route loopt bijna langs de huisdeur ;-)

En zo kwam het dat ik iets na 12uur aan de overweg in Beert klaarstond voor de Thalys, weliswaar in een ietwat gesluierd zonnetje maar dat kon de pret niet drukken.

After having put the regular Thalys on the high speed line in Rebecq on photo, I returned on the 27th of April home to work.

About 11:25 although an app was appearing on my smartphone signalling that a brand new Ruby Thalys had crossed the border between France and Belgium on its way to Brussels South and this Thalys would run over the classic route. Suited for the midday break.

And so at 12:15 my first picture of a Ruby Thalys was in the pocket, seen here near the level crossing at Beert.
