            This is my Mum's garden in which I've just spent time getting it ready for spring.

These are the raised beds, with walkways inbetween. On the far left is Arthur's Wall where Blackberries, a Grape Vine and a Fig have been planted. Space has been left for a Peach Tree which is yet to arrive.

The ugly wire mesh is to keep the local cats off the new soil which is a mixture of topsoil, compost, coir and vermiculite.

This area of raised beds was previously just one big planting bed. Not that much growing space is needed now and the raised beds mean access is easier (no walking on mud) and maintenance should be a lot easier too. Easier weeding, easier planting and easier cropping. That's the idea anyway ... so we'll see.
