Gathering storm around the Tartini square, Piran, Slovenia (Please see one picture below)

            Piran is the jewel of Slovenia in the Adriatic coast. With the spacious Tartini square, the rising city on the hill and an attractive, busy marina, the city is a photographer's delight. In the middle of Tartini square stands the statue of Tartini, a talented son of Piran. Giuseppe Tartini was a composer and violinist, born in 1692 in Pirano, then a part of the Republic of Venice. He lived most of his life in Padua (at that time also a part of the Republic of Venice), where he died in 1770. He wrote several books on music. He also wrote 130 violin concertos and 150 violin sonatas. He has a place of honour in the centre of the square named after him.
