The Dance of the Northern Lights (Explored)

            Lofoten is an archipelago situated off the coast of northern Norway, consisting of about 80 islands.
Lofoten lies about 100 to 300 km north of the Arctic Circle in the Atlantic Ocean. Accordingly, it was icy cold at the end of March, but with all the snow also fantastically beautiful!  The islands are famous for the Aurora Borealis and if the weather is fine, there is a good chance of seeing these fascinating Northern lights. Here on Vik Beach they appeared very impressive. It was an extremely fascinating experience for me.

Die Lofoten sind eine Inselgruppe vor der Küste Nordnorwegens bestehend aus ungefähr 80 Inseln.
Lofoten liegt etwa 100 bis 300 km nördlich des Polarkreises im Atlantik. Dementsprechend war es Ende März auch eisig kalt, doch mit dem vielen Schnee auch traumhaft schön!  Die Inseln sind bekannt für die Aurora Borealis und bei schönem Wetter ist die Chance gross, diese faszinierenden Nordlichter beobachten zu können.  Hier am Strand von Vik erschienen sie sehr eindrucksvoll. Es war für mich ein überaus faszinierendes Erlebnis.
