Johnson, Shaw BNC344Y - a photo on Flickriver

            And then this came along - several years of running elderly vehicles on contracts, and suddenly a brand new vehicle appears on the road ! And what a vehicle - the last Seddon Pennine VII chassis with the last Willowbrook 003 body. It was only a couple of weeks old when I found it parked up outside Chorlton Street coach station, which would become its regular haunt on NX duplicates. 

At the time, I probably didn't appreciate its rarity, still having a lot to learn, and I rather lost touch with it after its spell up here - not for want of trying though. I have a poor shot of it with Worthington's of Collingham, Newark, but I never really got a decent one of it again. Amazingly, it still survives in the undergrowth at Nigel Brown's depot at Builth Wells, but I don't know how much of it remains now.
