Holmfirth Festival of Folk - May 2018

Every year the town of Holmfirth in Yorkshire, famous for the place that had the longest running comedy series “Last of the Summer Wine” hosts one of the best folk festivals in the UK.

It’s now a world renowned event and attracts dancers and musicians from not only the UK but lots of other countries too.

The photographs are of the dancing that took place on the Saturday, and taken as they performed for the audience in the streets of the town. Around lunchtime, or soon after, they form a parade and dance their way up to Victoria Park where they continue entertaining the crowds.
