D14310. Penny Arcade. - a photo on Flickriver

            D14310.  One of the attractions at the Milestones Museum in Basingstoke in Hampshire, especially for the kids, is the Penny Arcade.  This uses real old 1d pennies which are available from a machine at ten for a pound.  (These used to be 240 pennies in a pound in my day!)

I can remember costing my uncle a fortune in pennies when visiting these places on seaside holidays in the 1950s, but this time it was the grandchildren costing me a fortune!  It brought back many memories though, as well as entertaining the kids of today.
