RD24224sc. 35028 at Winchfield. - a photo on Flickriver

RD24224sc. On the 9th July, 1966 steam traction was finally ousted from the Southern Region of British Railways. In recognition of this, an appropriate steam special train is run on what was the Southern Region and in 2022 this was rebuilt Bulleid Pacific 35028 CLAN LINE working the train from London Victoria to Yeovil Junction and then back to London Waterloo from Weymouth.

This picture of the down train in the morning was shot as the train arrived at Winchfield where CLAN LINE was stopping to take on more water.
