it is a fine example for how melee and close-combat arms still play a battle in our future, even though the close-quarter arms often are improved with tech, like hyper-vibro, added force and gyroscopic grav effects...

Her the front troopers take the droids attention by shooting at it front-armor which is enforced to survive most blasters shots, while the close-combat troops go for its less armored rear...

Often assassin-droids are a builder compromise between agility, Fire-power, armor and speed...

well trained soldiers can often pinpoint even an unknown enemies weak points by studying it´s construction...

...that is the laws of nature is the same in our universe where ever a gun, droid, ride or other tech,

...but when a tech-faction attacks a medieval or even stone age tech-level world,  the Technological inferior sides weapons often appear as magic and witchcraft!

...and just to tell  you the outcome of this attempt on the Holy Emperors life was saved...

the Blacktron killer-drone was not as much as a real attempt on the emperor´s life, much more like a greeting card between despot rulers and a check to see how well prepared the emperors troops  were!
