This is a 38 shot panorama of the Crux & Carina region of the Milky Way above a lone tree on a wheat farm near Quairading, 2 hours east of Perth in Western Australia.

I never intended this image to come out looking like a previous lone tree Crux/Carina shot I took at Beverley back in 2019 but it ended up being remarkably similar, albeit with a bit less airglow.

This was my first shot of what was meant to be a long night, going all the way until dawn, but cloud cover ended my night prematurely just after midnight. Oh well, I guess we are always at the whim of the weather gods lol

The Carina Nebula can be seen here near the top centre, as the pink petal shaped blob. Below that is the dark CoalSack Nebula with Crux, more commonly known as The Southern Cross, to its immediate left.
