... Mais le minuscule marasme petite roue qui déploie son chapeau en parachute dans les sous-bois humides.

Néanmoins, comme les pétales de la pâquerette, le chapeau du marasme se compose d’une succession de petites coupes (forme de champignon dit cyphelloïde) fusionnées les unes aux autres autour d’un pied unique. Cette fusion de plusieurs porte-spores en un seul (on parle de métasporophore) est le résultat de l’évolution de cette espèce.
