Olvera with wonderful views on Grazalema mountains

Andalusia is located in southern Spain and covers an area of 8 provinces. Andalusia is the second largest autonomous region in Spain. Beautiful Andalucía, the land of olives, oranges, sunflowers, beautiful mountain ranges and valleys, nice white mountain villages with beautiful squares, is a bridge between two continents, Africa and Europe, and is the point where the Atlantic Ocean and the Mediterranean Sea meet. There is something for everyone in Andalusia, from culture to beautiful terraces, sights, long beaches, beautiful inland areas with beautiful reservoirs, mountains and nice villages to visit. Just 130 kilometres from the city of Cadiz, we come to Olvera, a town which is said to be a street, a castle and a church, but is in fact one of the most beautiful white villages in Spain. A trip packed with views and streets that are viewing points in one of the most stunning locations in the Sierra de Cádiz mountains. There has been a human settlement on the site of Olvera for more than two thousand years. As you reach Olvera, it is majestic to see the town from a distance, surrounded by olive groves and farmlands, forming that extraordinary mound of little white houses piled one on top of the other, topped off with the stunning church. Don't forget that Olvera is at an altitude of no more and no less than 643 metres.

Just 130 kilometres from the city of Cadiz, we visit Olvera. A gleaming white, picture-postcard town with views and streets that are viewing points in one of the most stunning locations in the Sierra de Cádiz mountains. What a delight. With a setting like this, with wonderful views of the Grazalema mountains, exploring every corner of the town becomes almost addictive.

Andalusië ligt in zuid Spanje en beslaat een gebied van 8 provincies. Andalusië de op één na grootste autonome regio in Spanje en meer dan twee keer zo groot als Nederland. Het mooie Andalusië, het land van de olijven, sinaasappels, zonnebloemen, mooie bergketens en valleien, leuke witte bergdorpen met mooie pleintjes, is een brug tussen twee continenten, Afrika en Europa, en is het punt waar de Atlantische Oceaan en de Middellandse Zee elkaar ontmoeten. Er is voor elk wat wils in Andalusië, van cultuur tot mooie terrasjes, bezienswaardigheden, lange stranden, prachtige binnenlanden met mooie stuwmeren, bergen en leuke dorpen om te bezoeken. Op slechts 130 kilometer van de stad Cadiz komen we aan in Olvera, een stad waarvan wordt gezegd dat het een straat, een kasteel en een kerk is, maar in feite één van de mooiste witte dorpen in Spanje is. Een reis vol met uitzichten en straten die uitkijkpunten zijn op een van de mooiste locaties in het gebergte Sierra de Cádiz. Er is al meer dan tweeduizend jaar een menselijke nederzetting op de site van Olvera. Als je Olvera bereikt, is het majestueus om het stadje van een afstand te zien, omringd door olijfgaarden en landerijen, en vormen die buitengewone heuvel van kleine witte huizen opgestapeld bovenop elkaar, bekroond met de prachtige kerk. Vergeet niet dat Olvera op een hoogte van niet meer en niet minder dan 643 meter ligt.
