Towards Strathnairn - a photo on Flickriver

            Loch Ruthven and Brin Rock can be seen in this shot from one of my favourite roads. It starts beside Loch Ness at Inverfarigaig and if you did not know it was there you would miss it as it is obscured by trees. It then ascends the "corkscrew", a series of mega sharp bends that ascend steepl up the valley side. It then takes a route along the ridge line, passing hill forts, a ruined castle (I have yet to find it but I know it's there!), through woods and farmland.
