Nothing special

In woodland photography it’s the trees who are the stars not the photographers. The only secret to a good woodland image is the trees that make up the composition. You can add fog and you can add light/colour but for me it’s simply finding the right trees to shoot. Not all woodlands are made equal when it come to photographic purposes and that’s something we can take both comfort and frustration in. Im lucky that I have at least 3 amazing woodlands within an hour from where I live, 3 woodland so good that they’ve allowed photographers to showcase their beauty on a world stage all the whilst themselves gathering a huge audience. If you want to improve your woodland images, you need to improve your scouting. I will be releasing a blog on Friday on my website www.willplunkett.photo detailing the essentials needed to develop a scouting portfolio, this is priceless when it comes to improving and connecting with woodland photography.
