Northern NRF4 (TGM 233J), ex Central SMT D33, Daimler Fleetline/ECW H43/34F, Cowdray Hall, Rosemount Viaduct, Aberdeen, July 1977.

            In 1976/77 Alexander Northern acquired twenty Daimler Fleetlines, their first rear engine double deckers, from other Scottish Bus Group companies as follows:-

NRF1 - NRF6 (TGM 230J – TGM 235J), 1971 Daimler Fleetline CRG6LXB/ Eastern Coach Works H43/34F, ex Central SMT  D30 - D35, 
NRF7 – NRF14 (UMS 88J – UMS 91J, UMS 93J, UMS 95J – UMS 97J), 1970 Daimler Fleetline CRG6LXB/ Eastern Coach Works H43/34F, ex Alexander Midland  MRF 88 etc,
NRF15 (SMS 402H), 1970 Daimler Fleetline CRG6LX / Alexander D H44/31F, ex Alexander Midland MRF72, f formerly Alexander Midland MRF72, 
NRF16 – NRF20 (CWG 914L, CWG 915L, SMS 120P, SMS 129P & SMS 130P), 1976 Daimler Fleetline CRG6LXB / Alexander AD H44/31F, ex Alexander Midland MRF104/105, MRF 120/129,130.
 
In 1978 the Alexander Northern bought eight new Fleetlines:-
NRF21 – NRF28 (ASA 21T etc), Leyland Fleetline FE30AGR / Eastern Coach Works H43/27F.

At SBG reorganisation in 1985, NRF4, NRF11, NRF14, NRF16, NRF21 & NRF25 transferred to Strathtay Scottish.
