Week 46 - Seven Deadly Sins - Pride - USAF Thunderbirds Reflection Pass

Having gone to a few airshows now, Nellis is usually one of the ones that people talk about and is one of the bigger ones in the US. Nellis Air Force base is the home of the USAF Thunderbirds and hosts the annual Red Flag air-to-air combat training exercise. This was by far the biggest air show that I've ever been to and had the good fortune to have been able to share this experience with some great friends.

The theme this week is seven deadly sins, this shot represents pride. The US sure are proud of their military and for good reason. No doubt it's still the best in the world. I'm also exceptionally proud of this photo as I took it using an Olympus E-P1 (the one that started it all for the Olympus m4/3 line) and the el cheapo 40-150mm R. In total, this setup was under $200 from Kijiji. I had no doubt in my mind that I could get some killer shots without a fancy camera and world class autofocus. All I need is a camera with a half decent lens.
