NMBS 1862 @ Braine-le-Comte 🇧🇪

Na lange tijd reed de Orient Express op dinsdag 22 juni nog eens door België op zijn weg tussen Venetië - Genève - Paris en Amsterdam waar de trein twee dagen verblijft. Op donderdag 24 juni keert de Orient Express dan terug naar Italië via Brussel en Paris.

Door noodweer in Zwitserland op de avond van 21 juni kwam de trein vast te staan in Arth-Goldau en liep hierdoor een aanzienlijke vertraging van ruim 5 uur op. Normaal was de aankomst in Brussel-Zuid voorzien om 15u23 maar dat werd dus verschoven naar 20u00 - en dan nog werd die aankomst niet gehaald want de trein reed mijn lens in Braine-le-Comte pas voorbij om 20u34! Uiteindelijk zou de trein om 21u in Brussel-Zuid aankomen.

En ook de VRT vond deze luxueuze trein wel een reportage waard.

Door het miezerig weertje moest ik zowat alles uit de kast halen voor een acceptabele foto maar goed, voor de Orient Express hebben we veel over!

En laat ons nu alleen maar hopen dat de trein morgen onder een stralend zonnetje en zonder vertraging terug kan rijden naar Italië.
