It will be the first office built specifically to support 21st Century workplace trends with multi-tenant occupancy, cross-organisational communication, activity-based work stations, shared facilities, and dynamic office layouts. It is also going to be one of the smartest buildings in Europe. Integrating 'Internet of Things'-ideals into the design will allow optimization of everything from access and indoor climate control to maintenance and energy-supply - and even the behavior of the users."

"Eines steht fest: So viel fotogen zerklüftete Glasfassade wie beim cube berlin von 3XN (Kopenhagen) hat Berlin schon lange nicht mehr gesehen. Und in der Tat freuten sich die Verantwortlichen auf der gestrigen Pressekonferenz sehr, dass Bilder des Hauses bereits kräftig in den sozialen Medien zirkulieren. Doch sofort wurde ergänzt, dass es sich bei der Hülle nicht um eine formale Spielerei handelt. Die gekippten, speziell beschichteten Glasflächen sind die äußere Hülle einer doppelschaligen Fassade, die ein Aufheizen der Innenräume verhindert. Zusammen mit den individuell zu öffnenden Fenstern soll das für ein angenehmes Raumklima auf den zehn Büroetagen sorgen."
