Live Steam Frank S - a photo on Flickriver

Live Steam Frank S

            This LGB Frank S (built by Aster) has a lot of unusual features. It ran super smooth during the stem up but with barely any exhaust plume.  Apparently, the smoke box has a little cup to catch condensation and the designers really didn't want a plume.  This also meant it ran very quietly, though steady.

The standard LGB Frank S is physically larger because Aster built this to 1:32 scale, which is not something LGB typically uses (1:22.5).
