Annie's fawn - Explore - a photo on Flickriver

            The title may be misleading to some so here's the story ...Annie is a camping friend of mine. The day after I arrived at camp earlier this season Annie's first words to me were, "you should have been here yesterday". Then she proceeded to tell me of this doe and newly born fawn came into her site and the fawn was led into a bush by the mother. The doe then left the site to forage and the fawn laid still for six hours until the doe returned. Annie kept an eye on the little one throughout the day feeling honored that the doe had chosen her site for protective cover.
This photo is about one month later than when Annie was babysitter and my first time seeing the doe and her fawn. As usual the fawn was curious of our presence one minute staring at us and the next running and playing deer games by itself as the adults grazed before sundown.
