Fall Finale

            A southbound loaded taconite train roars upgrade past some vibrant fall foliage in West Springfield, Pennsylvania with CN 5422 leading two IC SD70's. Most of the colors in this region were very dull this year, so I was surprised to find that many locations along the Bessemer, such as this one, featured brightly colored foliage. Shortly after this image was made, a strong thunderstorm ripped through this area bringing down power lines, trees, and of course the last of the leaves.
