Climate Change Toenail - Decades of Damage - Global Warming Aftermath - Hot August Night - Thanksgiving Morning Surprise - Future Fossil

            Toenail heavily damaged by decades of Climate Change. Some examples:

1967 Nassau County, New York - due to extreme heat and humidity bought an above ground much-assembly-required backyard pool at the former Lane's Department Store on Union Turnpike in Lake Success (across from the former Sperry Gyroscope factory). Stayed in after dark and tripped on the concrete, knocking a large chunk of flesh off this toe. Soon after the nail fell out.

{Lake Success itself is the largest "kettle lake" on the crest of the Harbor Hills Terminal Moraine, formed when a large block of buried ice melted from the Climate Change at the end of the last Glacial Period (about 10000 years ago).}

1987 Gulf of Aqaba (north end of Red Sea) - at least 120 degrees, too hot to do anything except lie in a chair under an umbrella. While asleep the sun moved around putting my shoes in direct sunlight. Dried out and shrunk so much that could never put them on again. For the next week had only a cheap pair of plastic flip-flops to wear, including in Egypt. Many opportunities to stub the toe.

2005 Orange County California - signed up for an organized group hike in the Santa Ana Mountain foothills in an area otherwise not accessible, Required "real hiking boots" - used the ones purchased in South Station, Boston in 1970. 35 years of Climate Change had caused them to shrink and deform - all the toenails fell out in the weeks following.
