Simkha the cat (Peace and Comfort) - a photo on Flickriver

            Six months have passed since we lost Vaska, and we could not stand it - the house seems incomplete if there is no cat in it. 3 days ago we received a new kitten who is 9 weeks old. He was so frightened by the new environment that we didn’t see him for the first 8 hours, he hid so skillfully. But gradually hunger made him a little bolder, he began to appear from his hiding place behind the bookcase. And after I managed to catch him and hold him in my arms for two hours, he completely calmed down: he realized that he didn’t need to be afraid of me, that the dog wasn’t going to eat him at all, and that he could play with Yashka! Now the kitten’s favorite pastime is to sit in my arms or on my shoulder and rub his muzzle against my cheek. At the same time, he purrs loudly. The name of the kitten is Simkha, it means Joy in Hebrew.
