Dutch landscape in winter - a photo on Flickriver

The Zwaluwse Haven is practically on the border of the Dutch villages of Hooge Zwaluwe and Lage Zwaluwe (municipality of Drimmelen, North Brabant). The water is the remnant of an old creek which now extends between the Hooge Zwaluwse Sluis that ends in the Amer river and the small harbor of Hooge Zwaluwe. A cycling and walking path is next to the dike. The tall trees between the path and the fields have recently been pruned. A culvert is visible in the foreground, providing the connection to another watercourse. The photo was taken in the winter season.

Praktisch op de grens van de Brabantse dorpen Hooge Zwaluwe en Lage Zwaluwe (gemeente Drimmelen) loopt de Zwaluwse Haven. Het water is het restant van een oude kreek die nu loopt tussen de Hooge Zwaluwse Sluis die uitkomt in de Amer en het haventje van Hooge Zwaluwe. Naast de dijk loopt een fiets- en wandelpad. De hoge bomen tussen het pad en de akkers zijn kortgeleden gesnoeid. Op de voorgrond is een duiker zichtbaar die zorgt voor de verbinding met een andere waterloop. De foto is gemaakt in het winter seizoen.
