Western Ferries Sound of Shuna and an unidentified Royal Navy Astute-class nuclear attack submarine (SSN); Firth of Clyde, Scotland,

The submarine was met by the two tugs as the former approached the narrows between Cumbrae and Bute. This is unusual, suggesting the submarine had some sort of power failure. Tugs usually wait for submarines in the area south of the entrance to Loch Long, and east of the Holy Loch.
