Burdine's-Macy's BIGGEST Sale of the Season!

            Today on AFB on flickr, I'll be featuring some ads I found in some old St. Petersburg Times newspapers that I recently acquired from 2003 and 2004. These ads were chosen since they represented companies that no longer exist.

Another Burdine's ad, this one from the Burdine's-Macy's era. From January 2004 until the Burdine's name was officially wiped away in 2005, the company was officially called Burdine's-Macy's. This was probably an attempt to get shoppers used to seeing the Macy's name before the official switch to Macy's went into effect a year later. By this time, Burdine's had lost its regional charm as "The Florida Store" and was essentially just another Macy's.

A Greasemonkey script that adds Flickriver links to various Flickr photo pages - user photos, favorites, pools etc, allowing to quickly open the corresponding Flickriver view.

Also, allows quickly viewing any Flickr photo on black background in large size.
