Cooper's Hawk Close-up - a photo on Flickriver

This hawk was not afraid of anything, it seemed completely oblivious to me, he hung around for at least 30 minutes, so I took a LOT of shots, this is one.
I also stayed with him in case he was hurt or sick, I was going to take him somewhere and get help if I needed, but I'm glad that he was fine, he flew away looking for more meat, I'm sure.
I got as close as 6 feet away, he ever hardly looked my way. Usually I wouldn't try to get that close, but I felt he didn't know or care I was there, and I sure didn't want something to come along and grab him.
