American Bald Eagle - a photo on Flickriver

            I took this a few years ago, am just now getting around to posting it.
There is an eagle at a local city lake, (White Rock Lake) in Dallas, Texas that comes and goes as she pleases, which used to be a lot, I haven't seen pictures of her lately.

She is quite the star, there are those that have some really great close-ups of her, but this isn't one of them. heheh
I saw her land on this giant log with a crappie one day and ran over to the closest place I could even get a far away shot, which was still 'too far'!

I had my Tamron 150-600mm on at the time, but it wasn't enough, so I got out my cheap-o 1.4 extender and used that, I had to manually focus. To be honest, I am not sure if I used a 1.4 or a 2.0 extender, it was a while back, plus I was in a hurry. The EXIF doesn't show when you use an extender sometimes, it all depends on what you put it on, the lens, or the camera...

Anyway, I got a shot, it's not perfect, but I'll take it.
