            Once a year we've been staying at a hotel in Wenatchee for years now and this fellow is always there to great us.  I think it's the most unpolitically correct thing that I've ever seen, but I love seeing it's smiling face. To me it signifies the beginning of vacation.  I finally found out it's history:

The Skookum Indian sign with its eyes that roll back and forth was created in 1921 as a mascot for Skookum Packers Association, a Wenatchee apple provider.

Although the Skookum warehouse area it once adorned was replaced by the Skookum Plaza, the 30-foot-tall sign has been reinstalled at the location and now sits atop an Office Depot store.  This was the first pic I took on vaykay, thought my stream needed some color that wasn't green or brown.   :-)
