Lake Manyara National Park from the Lake Manyara Serena Safari Lodge

            Lake Manyara is alkaline so most animals do not drink there. This park has plenty of fresh water with the streams that feed this lake. The animals are particularly fond of the swampy areas around the lake where they can enjoy the water and the grasses that grow there. While the scene looks empty of animals from this distance the area is actually teaming with animal life.
