Golden Doorway at Chaco Culture - a photo on Flickriver

            Chaco Canyon, in New Mexico was a major center of ancestral Pueblo culture between 850 and 1250, and was a focus for ceremonies, trade and political activity for the people of the Four Corners area of the American Southwest. Chaco is remarkable for its monumental public and ceremonial buildings.The golden glow through the door of these ruins emanates from the newly risen sun bathing the far room in exquisite indirect light.
