Rügen - Prora

            A building complex from the National Socialist era. The complex extends over a length of 4.5 kilometres and should provide holiday accommodation for up to 20,000 people. The project KdF-Seebad Rügen was initiated by the organization KdF (Kraft durch Freude) in 1936. It was not completed by the war. 

After the war the facility was used for a casern of the GDR troops. Today a renovated part is used for apartments, hotels and restaurants. Also a museum is there.
