DSC_0040_Yakima Canyon Bighorn Sheep Ram and Ewe

            A bright early Thanksgiving morning drive through the Yakima River Canyon.  I was finally able to capture images of the elusive Big Horn Sheep.  A brisk 22 degrees out, but capturing these images was worth the exposure to the chill.  These powerfully built animals have been suffering a decline in population because of an infectious pneumonia that is readily passed through the herd, particularly devastating to the lambs under 2-3 months old.
