Ice and Water - a photo on Flickriver

Ice and Water

            While I was out this morning I found myself in what I think is an old quarry on Carn Marth, where I temporarily basked in the weak sun as the snow melted and fell from branches around me. It was calm and peaceful here in the lee of the biting cold up on top and all I need was a dry seat to nod off happily.

As I finally set off to leave I noticed the close up details of melting ice in contract with the underwater scene around me. This image is the result of 10 individual shots, all of the same scene but focussing on different areas of the subject. I then blended the set together to arrive at the final result.  Something a bit different - glad I watched Tom Heaton's latest offering on YouTube last night!
