Storm Brian at Portreath in Cornwall

            Brian seems such a friendly name.  Except perhaps for when he's a storm with 70mph winds battering our Cornish coast.  

It was a very difficult hour in the face of hard rain and sea spray, and all attempts to get a shot of the breakers crashing over the iconic monkey house failed.  Both my camera and I were doused in showers of seawater on at least 4 or 5 occasions and getting it home for a thorough drying out soon took precedence over trying to get that shot.

While the drama out at sea was something to behold, even the inner harbour was worth a photo as the sea rolled in and smashed against its walls.
