Padstow Lifeboat Station - a photo on Flickriver

            OK, so it's not exactly an original composition but I'm in favour of us all going and photographing spots like this because....well just look at it.  What's not to love about a turquoise sea and this gorgeous lifeboat station on Cornwall's north coast near Padstow?  

I was pleased that we caught it on a gentle January afternoon with the tide at half mast, washing away on the huge legs that support the structure.  I'm guessing it has been built here on purpose, taking advantage of the sheltered side of Trevose Head, where even on a calm day such as this the sea was boiling away in the cauldron immediately west of the iconic lighthouse.  This was the first outing for the new camera which has arrived in time for a test outing or two before the forthcoming adventures in Snowdonia.  I think we're going to have a very happy relationship.
