Common Waxbill (Estrilda astrild) - a photo on Flickriver

            We were walking along a riverbank when we came across a group of around eight of these Common Waxbills among the reeds. They are native to sub-Saharan Africa but they have been introduced to many other regions of the world. It also goes by the name St Helena Waxbill. 

A first for me!
