Loch nam Ban Mora

            Loch nam Ban Mora or Loch of the Big Women.  Legend says in the 7th Century, the Warrior Queen of Moidart objected to the growth of Christianity on the Isle of Eigg and sent her warrior women to kill the monks.  After the monks were killed lights appeared above their bodies bewitching the women and leading them to this Loch.  The lights stopped on the tiny island and all the women drowned trying to reach them.
