Škoda-built 30 T tram 7511 glides up Špitálska on a line 3 Rača to Petržalka service. 

On the edge of Bratislava's Old Town district, hard to miss in the background is a building that has interested me for many years, it seemed for a long time to me that the building had an external support of some kind - the four  substantial red outer structures which go up the property's facade and seemingly over the top appearing to be made of iron or steel. 

Now I'm no structural engineer or architect but that seemed to be a  pretty suspect way to put up a tall building although having looked closely at cold war-era architecture across the Slovak capital it wouldn't entirely surprise me either - surely not though?

Mercifully a closer inspection recently at street level revealed that the red "supports" are concrete with some sort of cladding - just some kind of 'artistic flourish' by those clever communist artisans!

Great, I can stop wearing my hard hat now, no more funny looks from passers-by.
