Estepa Patagónica / Patagonian Steppe

            "A pesar de la aparente monotonía del paisaje, la estepa Patagónica alberga una elevada diversidad de especies... de las 2151 especies de plantas citadas para Patagonia, 1378 habitan en zonas áridas y semiáridas .
Al igual que las plantas, los animales desarrollan adaptaciones para soportar las condiciones de aridez, los vientos secos y el frio invernal, para mencionar los factores mas limitantes de la vida en la estepa.
Según la fundación Vida Silvestre, la estepa Patagonica es uno de los ecosistemas mas singulares de la Argentina, junto con el Monte y el Espinal, y el esfuerzo necesario para la conservación debería ser alto, debido a que solo el 0,6% de su superficie esta protegido a nivel nacional.."
