Selma's Cookies at Joe Muggs - a photo on Flickriver

SET 2 – Columbus BAM

Part of the reason Joe Muggs is so nostalgic to me is because I always used to get cookies from its location inside the Southaven BAM prior to that store’s relocation, and I explicitly documented the last cookies I got from there as part of said process. Unfortunately, the café did not make the move along with the rest of the store, and now that we’re so many years later, I’m fuzzy on the rest of my timeline here… but my recollection is that, somewhere between Southaven’s relocation and my visit to Columbus, I visited another Joe Muggs only to find out that they no longer served cookies :( So here in Columbus, upon seeing the café did indeed have cookies again, I had to try one… that said, they weren’t store-baked cookies as before, instead just prepackaged cookies from an outside vendor, Selma’s (which can actually be seen on the counter in one of my earlier pics). I’m actually not sure if Selma’s Cookies still exist now either (!), but what took me away was just how big this freaking cookie was – over an inch tall!! (Remember, too, that this was in the days before Crumbl, when I guess that has now become a bit more common.) It’s a peanut butter cookie, so I’m sure it was good, but I personally prefer just more basic, thinner cookies (a la Insomnia, if we’re comparing).
