US 12 Crossing, NYC Old Road, Jonesville, Michigan

            This photo dates back to the late 70s and shows the US 12 grade crossing at Jonesville, Michigan. The old depot still stands--and stands today! It wasn't as overgrown with trees back then as it is now. Hillsdale County Railroad was in control and some track work was in progress. The scene, for the most part, remains unchanged today. A slightly wider road and two generations of signals have replaced what is shown. The track is now owned by MDOT and is operated by Indiana Northeastern Railroad.
