Lothian 1049 at Shandwick Place, Edinburgh

            1049 is an ex London bus, one of fifty purchased by Lothian in 2018 and rebuilt/refurbished. It is seen working the new X18 route from Armadale to Edinburgh via Broxburn that was introduced 02 December 2018. The vehicle is in the Lothian country colours being the brand of the Lothian family covering the Queensferry X43/43 and West Lothian services. The service would normally terminate in Edinburgh at Regent Road but as this was taken on Hogmanay, it will have to use St. Andrew Square, north side, instead. This was due to the closure of Princes Street in preparation for the street party.
